Article n°2 : Spain Overview

The Second article is an article find in the website of the New York Times.

The New York Times is an American daily newspaper founded and continuously published in New York City since 1851. Its website is the most popular American online newspaper website, receiving more than 30 million unique visitors per month.

This article deals with the situation of Spain in this time of crisis. I have chosen it because I know very well the situation in France, but I know little about the Spanish situation.

It takes stock of the mandate of Zapatero, highlighting the bad economics and good social aspects of the mandate of Zapatero.
We can more or less say that Zapatero’s economic record is very poor. The country has one of the largest deficit in Europe …

Zapatero has marked a social change in Spain. His Socialist government has offered abortion and also allowed gay marriage. Spain with this government has shifted to a more secular country

I followed these election between the PP and the PSOE. I have some knowledge in politics, at least in French one. But here in Spain, I have no political opinion, I try to understand how the Spanish policy or at least what are the main ideas of the different parties and what are their views on the crisis.

Spain, like many countries in Europe and the world is in a global period of crisis : economically, socially, financially … This is generally the case in a global crisis.
In my point of view, all the States members are having to tighten their belts, the European Union likewise therefor. And people have to stick together .
